Vertice Society Definitions

Vertices  has created a completely new concept for educators to follow.  It is necessary for understand the terminology we use.

Vocabulary Terms


Vertice:

The top in Latin. 


Casual Student: 

A person that studies English as a hobby for fun or entertainment. 


Fully functional: 

Capable of using the 7 common forms of English communication at a functional level equivalent to or above the standard American average communication level. 


Seven key parts of English communication: 

speaking fluency,” "vocabulary,” "comprehension,” "writing,” “listening listening, nonverbal communication, and pronunciation accuracy


An English “USER”:   

A former student of English but now a person that uses English for communication and understanding, the same way English is used around the world.  Someone who is proficient in the seven major areas of English communication. 


Vertice Society Member:  

An English user with fully functional abilities and among the top 2% of English communicators in Japan.  A person meeting the requirements of the Vertice society. A member is not a student. 


Vertice Associate Members. 

Students of the Vertice Society. Individuals focused on becoming fully functional English users or simply interested in learning from the cutting edge program..


Licensed Affiliate Schools. (LAS)

Separate schools licensed by the vertice society to teach one or some of the 7 common forms of English. They are officially registered with the Vertice Society and appear on this official website.   


Licensed  Affiliate Instructor. (LAI )

An individual meeting the teaching standards of the vertice society.  An independent teacher operating their own school or training program. They are officially registered with the Vertice Society and appear on the official website.   


TEFU Test: 

The test is used to measure a person's skill levels in the 7 areas of communication.
